Engine and Propulsion
The Yanmar engine was selected after careful testing by HR over other brands of marine diesels since it delivered a power curve meeting or exceeding the demands of the yachts\' systems. This proven long life diesel (currently only 728 hours) has operated flawlessly while receiving professional maintenance including regular oil changes. Her 7.5kw Panda generator has operated flawlessly since new and regularly serviced.S/S shaft w/Ambassador rope cutterGori 3 blade overdrive folding propFixed prop 3 blade mounted as spare
Mechanical Equipment
The engine room is an engineer\'s delight where attention to detail is paramount. Whenever possible all systems with pumps and motors are located in the engine room where they are well organized insulated and isolated against sound yet allowed to \"breathe\" fresh outside air to maintain steady operating temperatures. The pressurized freshwater system is carbon filtered and fed through an expansion tank that utilizes a manifold which distributes potable water equally to individual fixtures while equalizing pressure and volume which prevents the possibility of scalding. A thermostat controlled central heating system consists of dual Webasto 3000 Airtop automatic diesel heaters where warm air is ducted to each cabin and head compartments for chilly evenings or cool climate sailing. A separate central air conditioning system driven by MarineAir Vector series low current drain A/C units are ducted throughout the yacht. All systems are conveniently located for servicing whether it is sea strainers or oil changing as well as many other added engineering features that make this yacht stand apart from others. The spares inventory conveys with the yacht for all ship\'s systems such as the water maker pumps electricals etc.Spectra Newport 400 24vDC 16gph water maker Hella Turbo fans 24vDCMarineAir VCP16 & VCP10 A/C 220vAC (2 units)Webasto Airtop 3000 diesel cabin heaters (2 units)Electric sump pump for refrigerator and freezerEngine room C02 fire extinguishing systemGori folding prop - 2 speed (provides 30% fuel savings by increasing range in overdrive)Refrigeration - Isotherm 24vDC water cooled low drain compressorFreezer - Isotherm 24vDC water cooled low drain compressor 10hp Sidepower 24vDC bow thruster w/foot switches at steering pedestalElectric toilets in master\'s stateroom and forward headKenney EU355 230vAC washing machineElectric oil changing pumpHigh water alarm in bilge Waste holding tanks w/overboard/ pump out Y valve (20 gals.approx.)
