Highly motived seller! This Carver 530 Voyager has been a smash hit with boaters. Her modern pilothouse lines took the market by storm. "Unicorn" is a wonderful example of this very popular yacht. She is powered by a pair of the premium Volvo-Penta 610hp diesels with up-to-date service. The three stateroom interior features a full width master suite amidships, a centerline queen forward and upper & lower bunks offset to port. Model History
Carver is part of the Genmar Corporation, which acquired them in 1991. Carver has been building boats out of Wisconsin since the mid 1950's and has developed a strong reputation for building quality mid-range yachts. The Voyager pilothouse series was introduced in 1998 with the introduction of the 530 and proved to be a tremendous success for the manufacturer. The 530 remained in production until 2006, a remarkable nine year production run.
Construction The hull is constructed with a solid fiberglass bottom using Knytex knitted fiberglass cloth, premium-grade gel coat, vinylester resin barrier coat and premium polyester resin. The stringer system is an all fiberglass composite grid system laminated into the hull while the hull is still in the mold. The deck and hull sides use the same premium gel coat and polyester resin but are cored with balsa for increased strength and reduced weight. For improved structural integrity, the deck, cabin top and cockpit are part of a single main fiberglass component with integral aluminum truss reinforcement in the cabin top. The hull to deck joint is a "shoe box" design for greater strength. |
Vessel Walk Thru From the cockpit, the salon is entered on port via a curved sliding glass door with stainless steel frame. As you enter the salon, the L-shaped settee is aft starboard with a folding cherry wood table. Aft to port is the entertainment center. At the forward end of the settee is a built-in table with lamp. The galley is located forward to port; it is U-shaped and has all the comforts of home. Moving forward on starboard, there is a passageway leading up to the lower helm / pilothouse area which feature a centerline helm with Recaro style helm seat and a large L-shaped seating area off to port. Access to the Flybridge is via steps at the aft end of the area and access to the side deck is via a door on starboard. Continuing forward, the passageway curves to port and descends to the three staterooms and two heads. The master stateroom with en-suite head is immediately to port and directly under the pilothouse area. The master is a full width stateroom and has an island queen berth on starboard with the en-suite head to port. Forward to port is the third guest stateroom with upper and lower berths. Across on starboard is the shared guest head with stall shower. The second guest stateroom is in the bow and features another island queen berth. |
