THIS WOULD MAKE SOMEONE A GREAT STARTER BOAT WITH LIMITED INVESTMENT
Detailed Description:
This 28’ Carver Mariner exemplifies what the Mariner has stood to mean or a roomy interior and large bridge layout. Overall this boat named “Getting Plastered” appears to be solid. At some point in the past the gunnels, aft deck and bow have been re-fiber glassed and a new deck installed on the fly bridge. The boat does need a little attention to the outside but this is only cosmetic in nature. Mechanically “Getting Plastered” is in sound shape with only 100 hours on the rebuilt 5.7L Mercruiser engine. Furthermore, the bridge appears to be in good condition without any sun damage or cracks. The bridge has two back to back captains’ chairs with seating for four. In addition, there is room in the bridge for a couple of folding chairs if desired. “Getting Plastered” also has a decent size cockpit with easy access to the swim platform. This is a decent starter boat for a couple who want some room and comfort without the associated cost.
Accommodations:
You enter the cabin via door off cockpit. Upon entry, there are large hanging lockers hanging lockers on both the port and starboard sides. There is a large wrap around settee with dinette table to starboard and a built in sofa to port. The sofa also converts to bunk beds. Forward of the salon is a V Berth with large bed.
