JMC 65 was originally constructed as a 55' Viking Wide body Motor yacht. In conjunction with Associated Marine Technologies, she was extended to her 66' length creating a spacious Aft Deck and reverse transom enabling convenient water access for all water activities. The addition of (2) 300 gallon fuel tanks in this new area, a Wesmar 24 V DC bow thruster, plus numerous extras round out a 6 month refit. Which took place in the mid-1990's.

This is a great four stateroom layout with private Owners Cabin, an on deck Galley which opens up to the Main Salon with Capabilities of being closed off, an Aft Deck with seating and a grill and bar area, a large Lazarette and reverse transom-all making this low hour yacht ready to cruise in comfort.
VIP Guest Cabin with centerline Queen berth is forward. Port and starboard glass fronted cabinets and chain locker access are above the bed. Tropical leaves in soft shades of green and gold with pale blue flowers are featured on the custom spread and shams creating a tranquil getaway. Storage space is abundant with a large drawer beneath the berth and a cabinet to port plus three drawers to starboard. Following aft is a hanging locker and full-length mirror and an RCA Color Track TV. Across to port is the VIP Head with separate stall shower.
Moving aft, portside, is a Guest Stateroom with outboard side double bed, storage below and double door hanging locker with two drawers beneath. The aft bulkhead is mirrored. The bedspreads and shams are in a fun fabric featuring hammocks under palm trees creating a casual, relaxing feel.
Aft on beam is the access to the shared Head and stall shower with sink, vanity, and large medicine cabinet. Forward, starboard of the Head, is a Guest Cabin with over/under berths having a large storage drawer beneath and double door closet with drawer stowage. The same fabric that is in the Guest Stateroom are on the upper and lower bunk bedspreads and shams for a crisp, pulled together look.
Up six steps, the Wheelhouse with port and starboard doors, is a full command station housing the ships service panel, chart drawers, storage areas, and helm seat.
The Tropical Theme continues, underscored by buff Mica countertops, in the on-deck Galley immediately aft of the Helm. Updated with new Amtico easy-to-care-for teak like flooring and palm tree accessories for coordination, the space showcases sixteen opening cabinets and six drawers, 20 C.F. double door Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer, Panasonic Dimension IV convection/microwave oven, Westinghouse 4 burner cooktop, Whirlpool dishwasher, Kitchen Aid trash compactor, and double stainless sink with garbage disposal. Very well laid out, the Galley can be closed off from the Salon by a double bi-fold louvered door across the pass-through.
• In the Salon, a bar which has been reworked to house a U-Line wine cooler with added wine and liquor bottle storage built-in is located starboard. Completely redecorated and refurbished with a handsome Kravet fabric with leaves in green, rust, and pale gold on the dining table base, the dining chair backs and the valances give the Salon an up-dated motif that is both elegant and comfortable. The fabric and custom wood blinds complement the teak walls and built-ins. There is a sleep sofa, a Natuzzi recliner in microsuede and Liz Clairborne end and coffee tables. An oriental rug in matching colors anchors the living area and coordinates beautifully with the furnishing.
Access ease is facilitated by double opening, sliding doors allowing entry to the Aft Deck and staircases to the Flybridge and Master Stateroom. Custom made wood blinds topped with handsome tropical Kravet fabric valances hang throughout.
Directly below, a full Laundry Room features a Frigidaire stacked washer/dryer, two large cabinets, large storage locker/pantry, and table top for folding clothes and assorted tasks. Passing the Laundry Room is the well lit and accessible single Engine Room.
The spacious and totally private Master Stateroom is an oasis of refined luxury, completely aft and has a King centerline berth. Brass three-way lamps mounted on the wall behind the bed create glamour and depth. The custom bedspread is a striped fabric in shades of sand and taupe with gold thread accents. Two double drawer night stands surround the bed. The built-in settee is in gold silk with matching pillows and completes the look with both style and comfort. There are two large bureaus with a total of twelve drawers, two double door adjoining cedar lined closets, individual Entertainment Center with 19in Magnavox TV/VHS and GE stereo receiver with dual cassette decks.
The Master Head has a tub with glass enclosure, vanity with make-up lights, and large mirror.
A conventional staircase in the Salon opens to the Flybridge with center helm, three Pompanette helm seats with foot rests, two Bimini tops-one over the helm and the other over the L-shaped settee, table, and bench seating. A unique storage area was built below the helm seat. Walk-thru entry allows access to the tender davit and dinghy. The bridge is able to seat as many as ten while allowing voluminous floor space.
• The focal point of the 9ft Aft Deck is the expandable teak table with arm chair and side chairs which offers ample seating. For seating flexibility, teak bench can either be pulled up to the table or set back for relaxing. The combination fiberglass molded wet bar with refrigerator and ice maker plus enormous Fire Magic gas grill is set into a custom fiberglass cabinet. A safety rail leads to the transom gate and down the five steps of molded, curved staircase to the reverse transom and swim platform. Behind the watertight Freeman door is an immense Lazarette housing two additional 300 gallon fuel tanks, work bench, ABYC approved propane storage compartment and lots and lots of storage.
