34' ft Mainship 340 Motoryacht

1997 Mainship 340 Motoryacht w/Twin 454 PFI Gas Engines
Mainship's 34 Motoryacht is a very well laid out and roomy boat offering more space in 34' than most other motor yachts. The boat features a large open salon with L-shaped settee and two barrel chairs, a well laid out galley and fore & aft staterooms with private heads and stall showers. The exterior has a covered aft deck with molded-in stairs to the swim platform and a bridge deck with seating for 8 and a walk-thru directly onto the bow. This low hour boat has be nicely kept and is ideal for weekend cruises or week long vacations.

Model History

The Mainship 34 MY was introduced in 1996 as a smaller version of the Mainship 37 MY which had been introduced the year before. The production run was 4 years and ended in 1999 when Mainship switched production from motoryachts to trawlers. The 34 MY was very popular and acclaimed for her roomy interior and easy to get around exterior.
Construction

Mainships uses tried and true construction techniques. The boats are made with E-glass fiberglass woven roving and polyester resin. The hull is laid up with a solid fiberglass bottom and the hull sides are cored with balsa above the waterline. The superstructure is solid glass with balsa cored decks. The stringer system is made of marine grade plywood and is completely encapsulated in fiberglass. One other item of note, the 34 MY did feature underwater exhaust.
Salon

The salon is laid out with the L-shaped settee and hi/lo table to starboard while opposite on port are the two barrel chairs and a small built-in desk aft. Engine access is through 3 removable hatches in the sole.
