40' ft C&C C&C 41

C&C 41 Sloop
The C&C 41 has proven to be an extremely successful racing and comfortable cruising yacht. She is fast, well built, and attractive.

“Second Wind” is an excellent example of the C&C 41. She has experienced only two owners since the end of her first season in 1985. Her first owner raced her out of Hampton Yacht Club, in Virginia. Her current owner has raced her lightly, but in recent years has used her exclusively for cruising. She is well equipped to either race or cruise.

In 2005 her hull was painted dark blue (Interlux) with white stripes along the water line. She has a lovely varnished teak interior and a varnished teak and holly sole. Ample berths and abundant storage are provided in her inviting interior. The upholstery and cushions are two seasons old (2005), and are navy blue with a red speck and red piping.

In 2006 a newYANMAR 35HM diesel engine was installed. The installation of the engine included a new shaft and stuffing box and associated cabling.

There is a complement of electronics, including a NAVGRAPHIC II GPS that has a moving map and chart CDs for the east coast from Virginia north, and an OCKAM system with displays over the companionway, on the mast, and in the navigation station. There is also a Datamarine depth meter. At the steering station on deck there is a Garmin GPSMAP 276C GPS UNIT(removable). This unit includes the software for the east coast from Florida to Mane.

“Second Wind” is also equipped with a comprehensive sail inventory for both cruising and racing. Her PHRF rating is 73.

Accomodations

The interior is finished in varnished teak with attractive and tasteful upholstery and cushions (new 2005), and a varnished teak and holly sole.
The master stateroom is forward. The vee-berth sleeps two. There is a hanging locker and abundant storage. Ample ventilation is provided by an opening hatch, and a ceiling mounted fan.
Next aft to starboard is the head, which is equipped with a vanity, shower (new 2006), and opening hatch for ventilation. The hopper is new and electrical.
Next aft is the main salon. The port settee and the pilot berth above it sleep two. The settee to starboard sleeps one. The pilot berth above sleeps one as well. There is storage behind both of the settees. The teak drop-leaf table in the center of the main salon provides ample table space with which to entertain graciously. A large opening hatch (new 2005) ventilates the main salon area.
Next aft and to port is the navigation station. Aft of the navigation station there is a seven foot double quarter berth. Storage is provided in this area.

Galley

Located to starboard of the companionway, the galley is equipped with a two compartment ice box, a three burner propane stove with oven (two tanks in stern storage area), a hot and cold pressure water system with a hand pump backup, a two compartment stainless steel sink, and a hidden trash bin beneath the sink. Cutting board covers are provided for the stove and sink to further increase available counter space when preparing and serving food.
Electronics/Navigation

There is a Garmin GPSMAP 276C mounted at the steering station (2006). This system has MAPSOURCE Software that includes Trip & Waypoint Manager software. There is an OCKAMS system with three displays on the mast, five over the companionway, and a “wild card” display in the navigation station below.
