Accommodations and Layout
The Hunter 356 offers all the accomodations needed for either weekending or serious cruising. Features above decks include: Large cockpit with centerline drop leaf cockpit table, deep coamings for safety and comfortable cruising, double propane bottle storage locker, large port cockpit locker, walk-thru transom, easily traveled side decks, anchor well with windlass, double bow roller. Solo or short handed sailing is a breeze. All the lines are led aft to self-tailing coachroof winches and sheet stoppers. The selden in mast furling is dream to operate.
Below decks the 356 was designed with pure comfort, elbow room and storage in mind. The salon is open and airy featuring Hunter's "windshield", large fixed ports, opening hatches and opening ports. The layout is designed to easily sleep 3 couples: large athwart ship double in the private aft cabin, true double berth in the v-berth, convertable dinette plus a single berth on the port settee. The cruising galley has everything you'll need to prepare a quick snack to gourmet meals. The marine heads has a very large vanity with mirror, large under counter storage and a seperate shower stall with shower door.
